What is UAA?

University Admissions Advising

Learn about our proposal and what makes us unique

This is a strategic university guidance service for grades 9–12. It covers vocational and extracurricular exploration and consolidation, portfolio development, essay design and editing, interview preparation, scholarship management, and comprehensive support throughout every stage of the international application process. Students are not required to enrol in the Excellence Dual Diploma to access this service, although both programmes complement each other to maximise admission and scholarship opportunities at international institutions.

9th Grade (Freshman Year)

10th Grade (Sophomore Year)

General objective: Consolidate an initial vocational plan and begin structuring a competitive profile for international university admission.

1. Academic catch-up and consolidation (if starting in 10th):

  • Intensive vocational exploration and initial profile.
  • Introduction to university options and admission systems.
  • Creation or update of extracurricular portfolio.
  • Initial family plan.

2. Vocational and Academic Deepening:

  • Guidance on career families (engineering, health sciences, business, humanities, arts, etc.).
  • Analysis of competencies valued internationally.
  • Recommendations for activities and programs that strengthen and consolidate those competencies.

3. International Profile Strategy:

  • Portfolio review and proposal of strategic activities.
  • Identification and advising on a high-impact personal project.
  • Guidance on documenting achievements and projects.

4. Early Exam Planning:

  • Introduction to the SAT and TOEFL.
  • Initial diagnostic assessment.
  • Report detailing current level and recommended preparation timeline.

5. Mid-Term Family Plan:

  • Meeting to explain upcoming milestones (summer programs, exam preparation, university exploration).
  • Definition of family commitments.

6. Delivery of Guidance Document:

  • Preliminary university admissions timeline (10th–12th grade) including key milestones: vocational consolidation, personal project development, exam preparation, university selection, and essay drafts.

11th Grade (Junior Year)

1. Academic catch-up and consolidation (if starting in 11th grade):

2. Vocational Consolidation and University Exploration:

2. University Application Strategy:

  • Final selection of universities (short list).
  • Guidance on application platforms.
  • Intensive drafting and editing of essays.
  • Coordination of letters of recommendation.

3. Execution of the Standardized Testing Plan:

  • Final preparation for SAT and TOEFL.
  • Support with retakes if necessary.
  • Coordination of score submissions.

4. Scholarships and Financial Aid:

  • Advising on financial forms (CSS Profile, ISFAA, COF).
  • Guidance on internal and external scholarships.
  • Preparation of family documentation.

5. Interviews and Final Preparation:

  • Mock interviews with feedback.
  • Soft skills workshops.

6. Transition to International University Life:

  • Guidance on accepting offers and obtaining visas.
  • Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO).

7. Delivery of Guiding Document:

  • Final university application plan with selected universities, submitted documents, scholarships applied for, prepared interviews, and logistical enrollment plan.
